Create a chart based on spreadsheet data

Spreadsheets are used professionally to create graphs or charts.

To chart your data highlight the range of data that you want to chart. If you want to include labels on your chart make sure you include these in your range of cells.

A range of cells consists of more than one cell in a rectangular set. it is selected by dragging across the cells.

The name of the range goes from the top left hand cell to the bottom right hand cell. In this case the range of cells highlighted is A1:B10. The colon between the names of the cells indicates that all of the cells between are selected.

Then go to the drop down Insert menu and choose Chart.
