Here is a summary of what you have learned so far.

• Things can be living or non-living
• Biologists investigate living things.
• Living things are different from non-living things because all living things:

                   -     grow and develop

                   -     can reproduce

                   -     can respond to a stimulus

                   -     take in materials

                   -     process materials inside their bodies

                   -     give out materials to the environment

                   -     die eventually.
